The Kingman solid state guitar amp from Bad Stain Noize Weapons delivers 100 watts of power with a tone that mimics a tube amp, thanks to the Hot Tubes effects by Electro-Harmonix being built into the amp.
Tube amps have such a distinct tone that most players desire, although the price of tube amps can be much higher than many can afford. Bad Stain engineered the Kingman to be an affordable option for musicians who can’t afford a true tube amplifier. The Kingman features a 12AX7 tube pre-amp that helps produce a warm and bright tone, as well as Electro-Harmonix “Hot Tubes” technology to help the Kingman deliver a sound and tone that is similar to a true tube amp.
The Kingman has the internal components of the EHX Hot Tubes effects pedal wired into the amp after the pre-amp, but before the power amp, helping to modify the solid state tone to sound like the amp is tube driven. The Kingman even has the exact controls found on the Hot Tubes pedal available on the amp, allowing the player to adjust the volume and tone of the Hot Tubes effect.
The Kingman guitar amplifier is the perfect amp for live performances, because it has a sturdy and durable design, with a sleek and original style that stands out when compared to most amplifiers. The Kingman features a diamond plate cover with bullet shell casings used for the channel selection switch and lights. Bullet shell casing and revolver style control knobs help add to the Kingman’s distinct look, and the amp has several control knobs that adjust treble, bass, reverb, gain, crunch distortion and more! The Kingman uses an optional footswitch that controls channel selection and crunch.
The BSNW Yuma guitar cabinet features four 12 inch, 8 ohm, 75 watt speakers, manufactured by Electro-Harmonix. The Yuma generates an output of 300 watts, making it capable of working with nearly all guitar amp heads manufactured. The EHX speakers help deliver a sound that is nearly identical to classic Celestion speakers, helping to give the Yuma the capability of being used in the studio, or for live performances.
The BSNW Yuma guitar cabinet has a rugged design that stands up to the test of frequent touring, and is set on four swivel wheels with braking mechanisms that help make transporting and setup quick and easy. The Yuma was designed to be used with the BSNW Kingman guitar amplifier, but also works great with most other amplifiers with a minimum impedance of 8 ohms or less.
