The New River guitar from Bad Stain Noize Weapons is part of the Maricopa Series, that feature a body shape that is similar to the Fender Stratocaster.
The BSNW New River has a body made of alder, and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. The “C” shaped neck is 25 1/2 inches long with 22 medium frets and mother of pearl dot fret markers.
The New River comes fully loaded with Bad Stain WMD’s (Weaponized Mosh-Pit Device) single coil pickups. WMD pickups have an intense and angry tone that help to generate a wild mosh-pit with every strum of the strings.
The New River has a sound that is perfect for hardcore, thrash, metal, screamo, punk, and every genre in between. BSNW WMD single coil pickups are made using polyurethane coated copper coils along with AlNiCo six magnets and black oversized button hex head pole pieces. The pickups have an ascetic that is similar to the Invader pickup from Seymour Duncan, but they produce a totally unique sound that is all their own.
The WMD bridge pickup produces an output of 7,000 ohms, the middle produces 6,200 ohms, and the neck produces 5,600 ohms.
The Bad Stain New River features a master volume control with revolver style knob, and two different tone control knobs that can be adjusted to increase or decrease the bass and treble to achieve the desired perfect tone.
The guitar also features a five way pickup selection switch with a bullet shell knob that activates and deactivates the pickups, changing the sound and tone of the guitar when played.
The pickup switch can be set to adjust the guitar so that only the bridge pickup is active, the bridge and middle pickup are active, the bridge and neck pickups are active, the middle and neck pickups are active, or only the neck pickup is active.
The BSNW New River guitar comes in Midnight Burst, with a polyurethane polished high gloss finish.
