Tempe Acoustic / Electric Guitar

A hybrid guitar featuring design elements of both acoustic and electric guitars, with a wooden body and a Fender-style headstock.

The Bad Stain Noize Weapons Tempe Hybrid Acoustic/Electric Guitar has a beautiful natural look and features easy playability with a vibrant tone. The guitar has a solid mahagony Telecaster style body with a spruce laminate top, making it capable of producing stunning tones that sound similar to traditional acoustic guitars.

The Tempe features a deep C maple neck with indian rosewood fretboard and medium sized frets, making it easy to play and quick to master. The guitar is equipped with vintage style tuners, and a standard acoustic bridge.

At first glance, the BSNW Tempe looks similar to the Fender AcoustaSonic Telecaster, although there are several features that help give the guitar the trademark look and style of a Bad Stain Noize Weapon.

The three way pickup selection switch allows the player to switch between the BSNW Magnetar Single Coil bridge pickup and the internal BSNW Tapeworm piezo pickup, or allows both pickups to be active at the same time. The bullet shell casing knob on the pickup switch has become a standard feature for many Bad Stain Noize Weapons.

The BSNW Tapeworm Piezo Pickup is installed internally and the pickup design and location, along with the mahagony body and spruce top, help to produce a natural acoustic tone.

The BSNW Magnetar single coil pickup is tightly wound using formvar wire, and is equipped with a ceramic magnet and a neodymium rare earth magnet. The intense power of the dual magnets help to produce a warm and defined tone and allows notes to ring out for an extended period of time when each string is plucked.

Both of the pickups are exclusive to the Tempe, and are only available to purchase with the Tempe. The Tempe is an active guitar that is powered with a small preamp that runs on a nine volt battery, that can easily be replaced as needed with the convenient battery box located on the back of the guitar. The internal pre amp gives the Tempe the capability of adjusting both the bass and the treble.

The volume knob is a revolver style knob, and the treble and bass controls both have replicated bullet shell case knobs, helping give the Tempe the trademark Bad Stain look.

The BSNW Tempe is not a limited edition build, unlike the majority of other Bad Stain instruments, and is a wonderful addition to any serious musician’s arsenal.
