BSNW Generation X Hypersonic Series Humbucking Pickups are similar to our original (Boomer Edition) pickups, with a small change that makes a huge difference. Gen X Hypersonic pickups are available in three styles, each with a similar design, identical look, and drastically different sound. Hypersonic pickups are tightly wound using 42 gauge polyurathane insulated copper wire, helping provide a crisp output and tone. Hypersonic pickups have a pickup cover that is available in nickel or gold, or they can be open if preferred. The original Hypersonic pickups featured one coil with nickel poles, and the other with a low magnetic steel poles. The new Gen X series features nickel poles in both coils, increasing the output drastically. BSNW Hypersonic Series Pickups are a great way to help upgrade the favorite weapon in your arsenal, and are available in 6 or 7 string.
MACH 6
Mach six humbucking pickups are fueled by Alnico 6 magnets, producing burning hot high end tones. Bridge Gen X Mach 6’s have an output of 16,000 ohms and the neck 10,900 ohms. The boomer Mach 6 produced 12,600 ohms and 6,300 ohms.
MACH 8
Mach eight humbucking pickups are fueled by Alnico 8 magnets, producing a hot and fiery tone of blinding and shiny highs. Mach 8’s bridge output is now 18,600 ohms, compared to the 14,900 boomer Mach 8’s, and the neck produces 10,600 ohms compared to 9,900 ohms.
MACH 9
Mach nine humbucking pickups are fueled with Alnico 9 magnets, producing a scorching tone with the bridge output of 20,300 ohms, much higher than the 15,800 ohms that the boomer Mach 9’s produced, and neck producing 13,200 ohms compared to 8,900 ohms.*
